My favorite dog book of all time. So glad to see it here. This story has so many dimensions –the relationship between Billy and his parents, his deep desire and the sacrifices Billy makes to get his dogs, and of course, his relationship with Old Dan and Little Ann.
It is written beautifully and is a timeless classic every kid should read.
